What makes Mallorca a great golf destination is its geographical diversity and compact size. Level parkland, mountainous and seaside courses are all within easy driving distance of each other. Car hire is the best way to explore the island as the roads are excellent and it takes only an hour to drive from east to west. Palma has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other Spanish City, but for something simpler the narrow streets of the old town are crammed with tapas bars. The marina of Portals Nous is where the rich and famous dine. Majorca has emerged from the shadows of the Spanish Costas to be a fine golf destination, but it’s best to get there before the crowds catch on.
